Caboolture Little A’s new website a winner

Caboolture Little Athletics Club has launched its new website helping members and their families easily access information including a new state-wide online registration system.

clac-logoWebsite Coordinator Melinda Cotterill said the club had worked hard with MPS Web Consulting Services to improve their website and social media presence.

“We have worked with MPS Web Consulting Services over the past 12 months and as we realised we were losing members to other clubs around the area as a result of our old website,” Ms Cotterill said.

“Members couldn’t find the information they were after and used Facebook as their main source of information for the club and our volunteers found the website hard to manage and update.

“Now we’re proud of our new website, especially the ease in which our members can now link to the new state-wide online registration system through Little Athletics Queensland.

“We also have a feed from our Facebook group which ties in with our successful web and social media integration approach by MPS Web Consulting Services whose experience and knowledge of web industry standard was exceptional.

“And thanks to the new website set-up, anyone who has basic computer skills is now able to update the website quickly via a PC or tablet which is wonderful and real time-saver.”

MPS Web Consulting Services owner Matt Sosimenko said he worked with members of the Executive Committee of the club in particular with Melinda on timeframes for a successful launch.

“We migrated content from the old website into the new simpler format over the winter break,” Mr Sosimenko said.

“We modified the Information Architecture of the website to a format in which existing and new members will be able to understand.”

“Taking this time to spend on the new website ensured there were minimal issues when we went live and the only issue we encountered was the inclusion of a previous award winner not listed which took 5 seconds to fix.

“With any new website, using the latest tools available and setting realistic time-frames enables all work to be completed on time and on budget and for a happy customer.”

Mr Sosimenko said the Caboolture Little Athletics Club was one website that demonstrated the services he could provide.
